Usb-b port problem (no signal) - how to fix?

Hi,

After a power outage (temporary shutdown) usb-b port in My Kronos 2 stopped working. Does anyone know to fix it? Maybe someone had a similar problem?

Kronos was connected to the computer, I wonder if some current came out of the USB ports that burned the USB port?

Apart from that the keyboard works ok, the midi and usb-a ports work properly.

Thanks for help
Daniel

Is it the Kronos' USB-B port that's the issue, or the PC's USB-A port?

for sure Korg's usb-b port. I checked my macbook with others keyboards and works well.

I would confirm the problem monitoring directly at the Kronos USB output to make sure it is not something else like corruption of the Korg USB driver on the computer following the outage, etc. This output carries both audio and MIDI. Is the problem with the audio data, MIDI, both ? If you didn't use a UPS or similar protection for your Kronos, the KLM-3360 PCB could be damaged.

KK, it's for sure USB-B problem so probably KLM-3360 was damaged. Do You know when can I buy those part in Europe?

Contact the Korg distributor in your country by email. They will tell you where you can find an authorized Korg service centre where you could confirm the problem and/or find the part if you already did all the necessary tests (audio, MIDI, etc.).
