No importing groove option and style edit is different
Hello Folks, may be this was discuss before but I just moved from Pa4x to Pa5x and I am seeing quite some changes. I have OS 1.1 installed on my Pa5x but I am not seeing any option for importing Grooves. I am an advance user and generally in Pa4x when you have a saved wave sample (timeslice), you can simply import into your style edit mode as groove. Unfortunately I am not seeing this option in my Pa5x. I have attached screenshot also. I saw Pa5x does have this option but I am not seeing in my board. Please let me know if you guys seeing this option and how can I fix. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Time Sliced sampler editor is completely malfunctioning !
- When importing , slicing and saving a loop sample , the created Multisample is wrongly mapped and every sliced sample is shifted one octave lower in pitch.
- The most important is that no MID file is created for importing events sequence of slices in a Style ...
Users that were creating loops / groove files in PaSeries can not create new time sliced percussion until this will be addressed in any next OS update.
Imported custom time sliced MS used in Styles/PADs from Pa4X work fine though !

If you got the KORG PA MANAGER you can easly create new Sliced Loops , than save this as PA4X.set file, and import them to PA5X.
You have more power on making it with PAMANAGER.
You can adjust many parameters, ad Fade out etc.
Once again, KORG PA MANAGER helps us more than KORG does.

Hi Asena, not sure I’m understanding correctly , are you saying you can create these sliced loops in pa manager even if you don’t own a Pa4x ? Ie how would you load them in, as a wav?Asena wrote:If you got the KORG PA MANAGER you can easly create new Sliced Loops , than save this as PA4X.set file, and import them to PA5X.

I had an earlier version of the software on my old pc and haven’t used it for years, I was planning on maybe upgrading when a PA5x version is released. I thought it only loaded Korg files.
Gather there’s no other software that could be used. If not, I’ll just have to wait for PA5x update,
best wishes
