File size limitation for floppy vs USB drive

Hi,
I have a preset package I want to load into my Triton. Currently my Triton has a floppy drive, limiting the file size to 1.44MB. Some of the files in the package is larger than 1.44MB.

Will getting a USB drive instead allow me to load files bigger than 1.44MB via the disk option or is there some kind limit built into the Triton so that it can only read 1.44MB at a time?

Floppy disks that can be read by the Triton Classic floppy drive are limited to 1.44mb file sizes. Assuming you are referring to various floppy-to-USB drive conversion kits you see on the Internet, this still only support 1.44mb file sizes.

The only way to load larger files would be via the rear SCSI drive.

Although you're generally correct that Triton floppies, actual or emulated, are designed to be 1.44MB max MS-DOS format, take a look here to see how you can FAR exceed that on Triton specifically:
