Launching synths remotely

Post by agamus »

Hello, I noticed that with the new digital synths, they started putting RasPi inside, which means that these synths can no longer be started remotely (e.g. using a controllable socket), which is really very, very annoying for starting multiple pieces of these synths. Have any of you figured out how to fix this so I don't have to cycle through six, seven, and probably more and more synths every day for startup? Thanks a lot.

Nothing to do with the Raspberry Pi, my Korg ARP 2600 is also the same and there is no processor in there. The last synth i recall from Korg that can be turned on remotely was the Prologue - the ARP 2600 has a "proper" power switch but still does not react to external power on. I can only suspect it's some more EU compliance bullshit.
