Perhaps, the advent of Yamaha Genos2 will give Korg the much needed motivation that may PA5X owners (and Potential PA5X owners in-waiting) would like to see, after the premature and sluggish response with PA5X todate.

@ NETWORK1....

YAMAHA registration page...

https://apps.yamaha.com.sg/WAF/WAFRegisterP1.php

Genos2 is now listed if you scroll through, which would strongly indicate Genos2 is about to make an entrance.

As for ePaino advertising, then it is obvious they a trying to move S/H stock before the next influx of Genos1 trade-in frenzy when Genos2 arrives.

NEW NAME ...New Game
It is odd that Yamaha themselves referred to the original Genos as "Tyros 6" when it was demonstrated to the resellers.
Comparing documentation Tyros 5 with Genos, the basic OS structure is very similar - but Yamaha suddenly discovered amazing things like joysticks and touch screens.
NETWORK1 wrote:Silly to stick a 2 on the end of the old Genos
Much better to create a NEW NAME ?
Agree unless it is another Tyros copy....

This is a golden opportunity for Yamaha..... interesting to say the least!!!!

Looking at Yamaha's CVP-909 with little difference from the outgoing model, you wonder if Yamaha are going to play it safe with Genos2 unlike Korg and the PA5X debacle...

Absolutely, just imagine looking at Roland's Ethos with Zen-Core and how very intuitive the latest Fantoms are (Fantom I have been looking at recently) if they followed all this in a new Flagship Arranger, then i think Korg and Yamaha would need to be very worried :D

Yep!!!
Fantom is like having 1000 synths and the control surface is outstanding - I love their "one mode" approach to the OS - amazing to operate.

Fabulous keyboard, but back to the PA5x - I'm still sitting on the fence....
...Optimistic? (not sure - need more info)
...Pessimistic? (not sure - need more info)
...Realistic? (requires a mix of apathy, optimism and pessimism, wine and chocolate, oh! and some tablets  )
