Wonder if I could load/convert my set from pa3 to pa5?

According to KORG, only Pa4X format SET is promised with compatibility.

Save all from Pa5X to thumb drive.
Save all from Pa3X to Thumb Drive and copy the pcm and user sounds to the corresponding folder of Pa5X kst.
Delete those from pa3x all set.

Now import the user sounds from Pa5X kst to Pa5x.
Convert the styles from .SET file in Pa5X.

Import the styles from converted kst.

Hi, are you trying to convert just styles or sounds and styles etc.

My pa3x sets only contained factory styles, which was simple enough.

It is full set rikki... lots of custom styles sounds and samples etc.

Pa5X contains all factory samples of older PaSeries Pa2X-Pa4X that all are the 1/4 in size of newer Pa5X stereo samples.
Therefore all Factory resources of Pa3X do not need any special attention after conversion to newer format
you just have to adapt them in newer features & FX in any newer Korg arranger.

Custom Pa3X resources (especially ethnic) that contain migrated samples from Pa800 with missing and gray corrupted
samples or false looped time sliced MS , must be loaded first in Pa4X , then extensively healed there from all issues and
faulty parameter values , saved as Pa4X.SET and then they could work properly after conversion in Pa5X.

Maybe Pa Manager can convert them successfully , I seriously doubt though since in many customers already in
Pa4X such SETs could not work correctly if messed up samples were not corrected and deleted manually !

Pa5x will convert the pa3 set with no problemas except that you Will have to reassign fx on all styles (only style section ).personnaly migrated diretcly from pa3x... So its a personal experience.
