Firmware update to MkI to be released... soon?

I recently contacted Korg to express my annoyance that they released the MkII Modwave with free-running LFOs which were a significant omission from the MkI that should have been corrected by a firmware update. They replied: "There are plans to provide an update to the original modwave to offer the same improvements and functionality offered by the modwave mkII, except for the extended polyphony is extra processing power introduced with the modwave mkII. We expect this to be released very soon."
