I have successfully added songbook items from a previously backed up songbook, as explained in the Qui video. However my real aim would be to to combine two SONGBOOKS with the resulting combination of the relative (SETLSTS). I found that I had to recreate the SETLST(S) pertaining to the added Songbook items manually

I don't believe that it is possible to completely merge two Songbook/Setlst groups.

I agree with you. You only have two options when importing "entries" into your songbook. A full merge function would be nice so that you can compare entries before deciding to "overwrite" or "keep original" or even "merge where target is blank".
