Questions on the 5X

Post by patpsc »

Hello 5X Users,

I have a few questions and hope to get the resolution to them.

1. Matrix Pads Output Assignment:
do you know a way to assign the matrix pad sounds to an output 1 to 4? or it's only default to LR output?

2. The chord sequence that we recorded and saved into a Bank, is it saved as a MIDI file? If it is, can we export it out of the 5X to use/edit with a DAW?

Thanks.

1:
- press settings
- press menu
- press audio tile
- select player 1 subtab on screen (or player 2 if you use that one)
- for the first column of matrix pads use the Pad 1 output assignment
- for the second column of matrix pads user the pad 2 output assignments
- for the third column of matrix pads use the Pad 3 output assignment
- for the fourth column of matrix pads user the pad 4 output assignments

2:
Not possible for now in the daw, but you can now edit them really easy on the pa5x itself by pressing the enlarge button in the chord sequence screen on the pa5x, then you get a new icon for editing the chord sequence, including quantise, insert / cut measures, creating slash chords, etc.
