Hello,
Is it possible to layer two samples in a single key in the drumkit?
I've tried to use the Layer option in drum kit (ex. C2 key --> Kick on Layer 1, and Tambourine on Layer 2), however it plays either one or the other based on velocity. Is there a way that it simply layers both no matter what velocity?
I appreciate your help in advance.

Hello Mike,
I think it‘s not directly possible. But you can achieve a good result in other ways:
- If you want to use it in a style you can the the events of the missing sounds manually or first create a custom (user) kit with the wanted sounds and copy the whole drum track to the percussion-track and use the new kit for this.
- you create a user kit and assign the wanted sounds to keys which are normally not used, then you have to select and copy the note events ( e.g. the BD note events) and paste them in a transposed way to get an additional ( e.g.) tambourine hit.
Can you explain in which context you want to use such drums?
Regards
Tim

Thank you @kronos_timmmy
I have some styles in which when certain samples are layered on drum track and percussion (ex. At 1:000:000 kick drum on track 10 and tambourine on track 11), I liked the overall sound of it. Instead of having to record both events on drums and percussion tracks, especially if I have 8+ bars, i figured maybe I just layer the 2 sounds / samples together.
I guess I will have to export them into Logic and save them as a single sample and load into my set.
Thanks.
