Keyboard set saved/recall to/from style (v1.30 only)

hi folks,
I have a few questions to the forum. not sure this is covered in other posts but I thought a collective Q&A might be helpful.

1. What has your experience been when saving a keyboard set to a style that is saved on an external or SD drive?

2. What has your experience been when recalling a style from an external or SD drive that has a keyboard set saved to it?

3. Have you had any issues with lingering master or input effects?

4. Have you had any issues with sustaining notes on the keyboard set?

5. Where is the keyboard set information saved to? Is it to the style file itself or to another location example KEYBOARDSET folder?

6. To prevent issues should I save my styles to USER banks and all my problems will disappear?

Pa5X file system explorer is anymore similar to PC/Mac so for the following resources groups STYLES / KEYBOARDSET / PAD ,
behavior is exactly the same , can be written and read from anywhere either internal memory nor any Media storage like USB & mSD
drives , you can create any folders , sub-folders , name them in any supported language and drop inside any file of same category you like.

This means that you do not have to load anymore any STYLES / KEYBOARDSET / PAD from external media , you just browse files from
any internal of external storage and can be reproduced directly as loaded in relative User Banks BUT ... this is valid for factory samples
that are used in any of those resources.

Regarding above STYLES / KEYBOARDSET / PAD that are using custom resources that are saved to CUSTOM SOUND Banks 1-12 then
the only way that a KST set can play properly from internal or external storage is to load custom SOUND folder with samples in Ram.

User SOUND interface require loading sounds and relative user samples inside Pa5X memory and can never be previewed or temporary loaded
from external media , this is a rule that can't be changed in PaSeries , that's why you can't merge different KST set that use the same Sound Banks.

As last , 4 KBD SET & 4 PAD information is always saved with Styles no matter if exist in relative banks , and will play properly only if
Sound resources are already loaded or use only factory ones.

hi Tony, thanks for that. Let me try explain the steps that I am going through. I select a custom style (or a copy of a factory style); which is saved to my external drive (SD or USB [behavior is the same]).

I then follow these steps:

1. I assign / save 4 factory keyboard sets to the style (by long press on the Keyboard Set buttons -> select save to style).

2. I then select another style (can be a factory or any other style) continue playing and then I return to the style (above). When I go to play something on the right hand using the keyboard set that I saved; the sounds are either distorted or have a continuous sustain. I have to then press Shift button + Reset button to reset the right hand sustain and noise and reverb. (Sometimes previous styles' master effects linger as well).

3. Sometimes the keyboard sets are not saved to the style either and the style is loaded with a "default" piano set; and I have to start the process over from step 1.

Is this just me or does this occur with others and this problem is a known issue for V1.30?

First of all , use only Pa5X factory resources Styles & KBD SET , Copy and write anything you like from factory KBD SET / PAD
and all will work fine from any media that will be written in any Pa5X OS.
Most of you , do not understand the meaning that only Pa4X resources that were exclusively made in Pa4X are compatible
after conversion with Pa5X , not PaSeries resources migrated in Pa4X or any older Pa.

My huge Pa5X Pro full resources 3 & 8 GB never had a single issue or restarting since over a year in customers performances
but all resources were exclusively made in Pa5X and Pa4X.

Nothing of above have been remarked in my resources after Pa5X OS v.1.2
