Hello all

In the next few weeks I have to make the decision to buy a new keyboard.

Since the PSR-SX920 doesn't have aftertouch, I'm leaning towards the PA1000, but I've heard that Korg will bring the successor to the PA1000 onto the market before December.

Are there trends that confirm this?

The same procedure as every year - If what you've heard is a rumor and not a fact, then trends are worthless - else a confirming trend is not necessary to be asked.

There are probably customs documents about shipments from Korg ...

You will never know if kord is going to put out a new keyboard ( PA1100 )in a year or two, and if it rumor that's no good.




How often do you use after touch and do you really need it...

if so Then wait or buy a used pa1000..

If my PA 1000 breaks and I need to replace it the Yamaha Psr-sx920, would work just fine I rarely ever use after touch and when I do it's just at home playing around..

I am also waiting for the PA1100 to come out I would like to maybe buy one of those if it has the same functions at the PA 1000.

Why do you have to buy a new keyboard in the next few weeks can you not wait a little while longer..

There are decisions that can be made more precisely if i/we know which key they should be based on

If a “Pa1100”, or whatever comes along, can it at least have the same outs as the 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x and 5x? The Pa1000 doesn’t cut it for me in that area.

It would be good if they kept the EC5 port, as well.

If a successor to the Pa1000 is produced, it is highly likely that it will not have an EC5 port or 4 analog outputs (Left, Right, Out1, Out2) as was the case with the Pa800.

It is annoying that the quality of Korg's mid-range keyboards has deteriorated with each new successor since the Pa800, because each time functions or features that were familiar from previous models are omitted. The Pa800 still had four analog outputs - the Pa900 only had two and the Pa1000 was no longer supplied with 4 outputs. The same applies to the missing EC5 connection or the missing keys for the fill-in.

Equally annoying are the lack of OS updates for the mid-range (such as FillMode, FillMode Lock etc.). In the Pa4x, these defects were already fixed in 2017 with OS1.2, but they are still missing from the Pa1000 today.
