hello happy new year everyone ,
i wanted to control the i3 with an other board via usb midi, i got it to work but i am finding hard time splitting the upper with the lower portion, as well chord control and sync start , now the board that i am using has midi usb and i am able to change midi channels accordingly how ever i get chord changing on upper part of the i3 even after i set the i3 to lower part chord change only , if i change channel on the keyboard controller 1 to 3 i am able to change chords with the lower , but i am losing upper control no sounds of course and i can not get the synchro start to work don't matter what midi setting i have ....i am sure is very confusing but in simple words i cant get the i3 to work correctly 100 percent if is controlled by an other usb keyboard , thank you again and happy new Year

Hello! This forum page is super slow, so I'm not sure of it's status:/ Did you ever get any more success with this? I too, have an i3 and would love to be able to control it with a midi controller. i was wondering if a midi interface would help at all? My gut feeling is that we probably won't be able to get much further along than this because Korg didn't design the i3 to be controlled via midi (midi in)... only midi out. Thanks for your information though, and best wishes!
