Working on a new MIDI app for Android

Hi there, fellow Korg users,

FYI: I'm working on a new MIDI app for Android. The app is called MidiAmigo, really a Swiss army knife covering all kinds of MIDI routing, monitoring and processing.

More info can be found in the following video and its description:
https://youtu.be/MYlzamJHKeY

The goal of this post is to invite you as forum members to give feedback on the app as it is now. I'd like to know if I'm moving in the right direction with the feature set and overall UI choices that I made. Hope to hear from you ;-)

To the moderators: I'm not trying to sell a product. The app won't be published in the upcoming months as I'm still developing it. If this post violates forum rules, then please let me know and I will delete this post. I don't want to risk getting banned from this forum. If and when the app gets published, I'll certainly consider requesting to be an Approved merchant, but I think it's too early for that at the moment. To be complete: I PM'ed Sharp about this a while ago, but got no response. I hope for your understanding for my choice to post this message.

Kind regards,
KorganizR a.k.a. MidiAmigo

Hi there, today I've uploaded another video about my MidiAmigo app.

It is a preview of one of the modules: the Message converter module.
It's quite a long video, but if you're interested in converting a MIDI message into any other MIDI message, or how a UI supporting this feature could look like, this might be an interesting video.
Again, please provide feedback if you want, as I hope to release a portable MIDI app, that solves this challenge in an intuitive way.
I welcome your input.

Kind regards,

Brilliant!

Will re-watch the videos a few more times and try to provide some, feedback and or wish-list…

Great work, and excited to see this develop. There are quite a few “apps” and software for iOS which are also providing a similar conversion sandbox. Your current project feels at first glance WAY beyond what is currently available.

Your going to force me into the “android” world, i can feel it

Carry on…

PEACE
