I have a Kronos and I have a Nautilus. I recorded 4 vocal tracks on the Nautilus pretty easily. I put the SNG file on my Kronos and was able to record volume changes incredibly easily in those audio tracks because of the assignable volume sliders.
Today, I tried to do the same thing on the Nautilus, and spent like an HOUR trying to figure out how to assign those stupid knobs to audio track volume. I could assign them to MIDI channels but not audio channels. It wouldn't record volume changes at all if I changed them one track at a time with the data wheel. The ONLY thing I could do was to change volumes using the screen, but the increments were like 15 steps at a time and I could only change one track at a time because you can only touch one volume level at a time.
What am I missing? How do you reassign knobs to audio channel volume on the Nautilus? For what it's worth, when I loaded up the Kronos SNG in the Nautilus with all the volume changes, they didn't do anything in the Nautilus... it's like they weren't even there.

Re: Recording Volume changes on Audio Tracks
It can be done. First, go to GLOBAL - MIDI page and Set MIDI Out Setup - Parameter Edit to Sysex, instead of Control Change.
On the front panel, I set the Knobs mode to USER (the blue light).
In the Sequencer mode go to the Controllers page. Assign Knob 1 to Mixer (top row), then Volume (3rd row). Now go down screen to Knob Track. You will see 16 boxes (mixer tracks). Check as many boxes as you want Knob 1 to control. This is pretty awesome, because you can group all the percussion tracks to Knob 1, for example.
Next, go to Knob 2 and repeat the process.

Re: Recording Volume changes on Audio Tracks
I'll give this a try on Monday when i'm in front of my Nautilus, but I'm skeptical because these tracks appear to be only for MIDI tracks. Am I mistaken? Is settting MIDI Out/Parameter Edit from CC to Sysex going to make those boxes select audio tracks instead? In the Sequencer mode go to the Controllers page. Thank you for getting back to me.

Very kind of you, Mike Conway!
While reading your explanation, it occurred to me that someday it might be possible to program complex synths with voice commands.

Re: Recording Volume changes on Audio Tracks
You could edit the volume in the Track Edit page.
Select an audio Track, go to Track Edit page, open Menu from a upper corner and will find Audio Automation Edit. Check Volume, A new Pop up will be display with the level of volume of each bit or measure. Also have the Volume Ramp for Fade in/out.
