left hand voice hold on PA5X?

I am considering upgrading to PA5X from Yamaha SX900. I like the SX900 Left Hand "Hold" panel button which basically holds sustain type voices such as choirs, pad and strings when you lift your hand off the keys while the style is playing. I am trying to determine from the manual if PA5X does something similar. I found two possible solutions with two images from the manual below. Can anyone confirm if one of these would be closest to the Yamaha feature?

1. I found a Memory panel button feature. The manual says this "keeps the chord and lower notes in memory" even after raising your hand off the keyboard". It's not clear if the term "lower notes" means the left hand voice from the keyboard set or notes from the style.

2. I found a sound "Hold" check box in the voice edit menu. I am wondering if saving the voice with this hold button checked and then assigning the voice to the left hand keyboard set would be the way to achieve this. Or maybe "Hold" in this menu means something else entirely.
