Stuart,

Great news man! Now you must write a new web site that does your softwre justice. You won't regret it, I promise.

Hi Vermeer,

I do agree. Ive been a bit busy writing this code but I will pay more attention to my website. Promise :-) I just set up the site today with my new ISP.

Ive almost finished the first release of the full version now. The auto program creation facilities are great fun! More to come ! Pick 2 or more sounds you like and create a new one with the components of the originals. Also I will be updating the fractal sequencer. Great for music composition ideas.

Cheers

Hi Again,

Ive posted a preload.pcg file for the Oasys on my website. If you have or are going to download the software please use this one for now. Its in a zipped file. Im making a few tweeks so that the software works on any PCG file from any Oasys operating system.

Hi Stuart

Your links don't seem to work, page not found.

Until he corrects the site, you can copy each link and change "stuarts_website" to "pryer". For example, to access the documentation, change http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/stuarts_website/oasys.htm to http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/pryer/oasys.htm

Hi everyone,

Sorry about this but its all working now! Not enough sleep cos the Oasys Companion is so much fun! Remember to use the PCG file on my website until later in the week when I will hopefully post the next release of the software which will be Oasys O.S. independent.

Thanks for you patience. I had to contend with moving ISP as well as the distraction of the wonderful Oasys. :D

Cheers

Do I get a royalty on the buttons? <just kidding>

Looks good. ;)

Hi Stephen,

They are the best looking buttons I have ever seen!

Regarding Royalty, I think Princess Ann is available :-)

Im currently developing the full version. Your wonderful Karma system is getting a full work out I can tell you! Im picking up the program/karma data and manipulating the bytes mathematically in the software to generate new programs/karma. Great fun! A very quick way to generate new programs/combis etc. for the Oasys.

Cheers for you kind words.

Hi everyone, 8)

After a busy week programming Ive just released both Freeware and Full versions 1.06 of the Oasys Companion. You can find them at

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/pryer/

Any feedback on the software, bugs, appearance, layout, and documentation would be much appreciated. Also I would welcome ideas for new features. The revision history in the documentation describes the updates.

The full documentation in html and pdf formats and a tutorial on synthesis is also on the website together with links for the Triton Controller.

Im starting work on some new free Oasys Programs/Combis (PCG files). Im using the software to create the new sounds. Is there any preference to the category of sounds people would like to have ? Let me know and I will concentrate on the most popular.

Have fun

Hi again,

Over at Stephen Kay's wbsite - karma Labs I had the following reponse to the new PCG file....

The votes so far are as follows:

synth sounds 1 + 1

vintage synth sounds 1 + 1

real instrument sounds 1 + 1 + 1

I will keep the voting open for a few more days and then take the plunge into the program/combi creation. Thought Id start with around 20 progs and 20 combis and get some feedback first!

I will base the new pcg file on preload.pcg version 1.1 o.s. I will post the PCG on my website once its done. I will probably keep adding to it. Hopefully we can all put some PCGs' together and share?

Cheers
