pad fault

I purchased a padkontroller from Ebay. After testing i noticed pad 15 and 16 didn´t work proper. Only half of it worked. It would lit in settings mode (not in play mode) but didn´t send any messages. Something the seller forget to mention in his listing........ no wonder the buy it now price was low!
It really ruined my week! I´ve searched the net endlesly for help...nothing. Since I had no warranty I decided to try to repare it myself as I was thinking about purchasing a MPD24.
At first glance i didn´t notice anything but when I looked closer I saw a piece of tape across the electronic plate blocking the contact with the two pads!!!!! So much for product testing.....
I´m very pleased with it. I do mis some features, but I´ve learned to work around them.
btw. The Padkontroller could be much slimmer if they wanted to.
