Hi Everyone,

Suppose you're sampling from a constant audio source going into the analog in's. After recording a quick snippet of the audio as a sample, is there a way I can mute out the audio that is still playing while I edit the sample?

I currently go to the "Input Setup" tab in Sampling mode, and then change both the left and right inputs to "off." Is there a built in quicker way, or work-around I could set up?

Ideally I wouldn't even hear the audio coming in until I pressed the "REC" button to arm the sampler...

Yes, that would be "ideally" but no can't do.
Doesn't that audio source have volume fader or something, or pause control?
Isn't that easier than reselecting signal in sampling mode to off?

With all the different routing options, I feel like there must be some work-around! I was thinking maybe assign the volume level of the audio input to one of the assignable knobs, or better yet to one of the switches. I wasn't able to, but then again I haven't been using the triton series as long as many folks on this forum have (wink, wink?).

I'm sampling from a turntable across the room, which I suppose I could move closer. But it would really be handy to be able to mute out the audio entirely while I'm working on the triton...

You are persistent and that's good, but it still can't be done.
Maybe, but just maybe, you could connect extreme and that other device via midi (if it has midi), adjust extreme's sequencer to trigger "play" on that other device (if it can be triggered by sending data), go to sampling mode in that moment, sample what you need, stop sampling, go to sequencer and send "stop" data to the other device. But i highly doubt it.
If you still manage to do it, let us know how, based on the fact that only I responded to you, it seems to me that the other agree with me as well - it can't be done with assignable knobs, switches, routing.
Use the volume fader, man, and make your life easier.
