Any Ideas on locking pads?

Hello Everyone,
Can anyone help me here. As far as know it is not possible but maybe someone can come up with a trick to do this.
Currently in the PA800 there is a lock for pads, which lockas the pads so when you change the performances, the pads do not change.
What I want to acheive is that when I change the performances my pads stay locked and do not change BUT when I change the style, the pads change. That way I can flavor my styles with different pads. Any ideas?
