Friends,
I heard some company is making a hard disk for PA80 to replace the use of flash card. Meaning you can have all samples, styles, sounds available directluy from hard drive without the use of flash card.

Have you heard this or it is just a scam? :?:

Warmest Regards,
Shawn

as far as my research goes HDs are simply storage areas as well as pen drives and flashcards, the issue is right at this point of time october 5th 2007, korg pa800 is NOT capable of reading .DAT files,so i am sure there is a way to convert .DAT files to WAVE, that way your pa800 shall see those samples....i am hoping for korg to add the NEW feature to their new OS soon, so that pa800 could read .DAT files...transferring pa80 flashcard is simple, but the 1.51v OS can't read .DAT files yet...

last, but not least, anyone with basic knowledge of sampling and transferring samples CAN transfer pa80 flashcard samples to a HD manually or using a PGM, but which flashcard are we talking about ? there are soooo many of them..

YES, there is a chance for someone to take MOST of the pa80 flashcards and use certain procedures to transfer ALL pa80 samples to a HD, but the question is, how many people gonna buy the HD ?

myself personally CAN do this , but it could take up to a week to transfer ALL or most the flashcard to a HD, so from my point of view its not worth it..

i hope i didn't confuse you !!

cheers !!
