They look more durable than the silver ones...

Hey, how do you get around the electribe knobs not remembering last setting? So annoying!

create a dummy part and just switch to that one to move your knob into position.

Nice pics man! Looks dope! Better than the silver ones for sure.

good idea that dummy part thing. Audio in or the accent part would probably work too. You still have to remember what the nob value is though.

Yeah, they look good, much clearer for seeing where the knobs are at.

So are you saying to basically duplicate the part and have it set ready for the second time you need the sound? Then reset the other one for when you need it a third time (for example)?

Real neat! :D

But where did you get a hold of 'em? Are there custom knobs to be found for my ESX-1?

most knobs came off a dbx compressor apart from the volume/gain/line ones which came from adj mixer .. and the silver one i got from a dj store . I could probably put together a kit for u but the knob i found are quite expensive and i couldnt garuntee u be satisfied .

its quite a bit of very good luck that i got my machine the way it is .
i DO recommend hunting down good knobs tho

you can get knobs @ radioshack.. they usually have a draw full of different types and sizes.. they have some brushed nickle ones that would look good as a selector

some of those exact knobs @ ehc are identical to the ratshack ones.. and not all of em are crap. overpriced sure.. but we're talking cents here. they're a good resource when you get impatient.

 no need to try and point out the obvious either.

i can suggest looking at some X0XB0X machines and finding out where u can get the knobs , cos the standard machine has the exact knobs i took from my compressor !! further than that check out the coolest of the xoxbox machines and see the silver knobs cos i think thats the ones im gonna get now .. but ive not found them yet .

I really want to see some sx's with my knob setup .
my friend has an mx , and when i use his with the plastic knobs and original tubes it just feels like stepping back a few years .. i cant enjoy it as much .

please , i recommend upgrading knobs and tubes . Any doubts uve ever had about ur songbox will quickly fade away .

Ive been waiting along time to find another custom mx/sx , so please guys post pics asap . I trawled the net and not found yet .

Does anyone know if it'd be possible to have an alternate face plate made ? ( black with white strip and writing )

nothing wrong with a bit of variation now n then .....

P.S. you need knobs with a d-hole and the marker needs to be on the flat side
