Check out the Vintage Synth Explorer. You can get tons of information on Ensoniq equipment there. Also, you might want to check out Harmony Central. There are tons of user reviews that might be of some help to you.
A synthesizer is a terrible thing to waste.

The Ensoniq MR/ZR Boards have the hands down easiest sequencer EVER!! The sheer fact that there is a built in drum machine that can be sent right over to track 10 is asounding and cant figure out why nobody else has done this!! I have been a HUGE Ensoniq guy since the Mirage. I have had and mastered all of their boards!! I switched over to Kurzweil back in the late 90's because of their sound and sample compatibility. Both companies use a pattern based sequencer and that is why I chose to switch to Kurz. truly! GET THE ZR-76. I still have mine and will NEVER get rid of it! The Idea pad function alone is astounding! It is ALWAYS recording what you play! Ever sat down and played something and wished to God that you could do it again. Well, just go into the idea pad and find it. send it to the sequencer for further developement!!. This board was way ahead of its time and it is a crying shame that Creative s**t labs squashed this company!!
MY Weapons of choice: K2600X, Oasys88, PC3X, K2661, V-Synth, MotifESR, ZR-76, TS-12, VFX, EPS16+,ESQ-1, ESQ-1R, Emu Xtreme Lead, SCI Six Trak, HR-16, Kurzweil Mark 150 Baby Grand and 2 D1600's synced!!!
