Hi all.
I'm releasing a 29MB Orchestral Choir sound tomorrow over on IA, and I'm making the announcement right now to give the Pa1X venture people the heads up that the are ”””NOT”””” to purchase this.
Pa1X venture people will received a free copy. !!!! For everyone else, there will be a small fee if you wish to download this pack.
A working demo version will be made available to download, so there will be a limited try before you buy if your interested at all in this.
Regarding the file size. Yes this Choir sound is not something I expect to see people using out live on the night of a gig, unless it's the only sound you will be using from RAM. This sound is directed at those working on original materal, recording, or generally anything that requires a extra high quality sound with the allowance of loading times.
So this is not for everyone. It's BIG in sound, and a huge filler. The side effects of that are the file size, but I'm not going to put file size before quality here.
Regards.
Sharp.
Compatibility.
Pa1X, Pa1Xpro, Pa2X, Pa800, Triton Series.
One download will contain all the different versions.

Sounds very promising and with the quality you provided in your former sounds, this sure must be a winner.
Looking forward to it.

If you have to ask, then your not one of them

Basically, pa1X venture people are a group that wanted to see the sounds I had been designing for the Triton Series also developed for the Pa1X, as well as other files.
So, they got together and between them (about 30 or so people) they purchased a pa1X pro and gave it to me.
In return, I started developing sounds, and porting over existing libraries I had made for the Triton Series over to Pa1X Format, and I gave them a free copy of almost everything I made.
I also converted a few hundred Styles to KORG Format, and made a few other bits and pieces.
This new Choir sound is a continuation of all that, and so Pa1X Venture people will receive a free copy.
Regards.

Sharp,
I note that the Orchestral Choir is now on the Tyros page.
Is this one compatible with the Korg or is there another being uploaded later?
Best wishes

No, that one is purely for the Tyros 2 and contains a single sound.
The KORG edition will be based on the same samples, but it will include more sounds.
Yamaha arranger keyboards are very restricted when it comes to programming them. They are very basic home keyboards, where the likes of the Pa1X is almost like a Synth / workstation.

Hi all.
It's now online. (slightly later than planned)
The trial version is limited to only 2 sounds, and only 1 octave. This still should give you an idea of what to expect.

I was playing with this all the night yesterday (3hours).. in my opinion it's very nice and handy but I wonder how many samples used for this to come 29MB?
and what about the other 6 sounds?

It uses 21 Stereo samples (so that's 42) , and all the sounds are based on this one multisample. Each of the 21 stereo samples are around 6 seconds long.
It's not a straight up choir sound either. If it where, you would not have the range of notes to play as you have now. As it stands you can press any key well beyond the range of a human voice and get a great sound. This is accomplished by mixing in other sounds, one of which is actually strings.
It's all embedded at the sample level, so even if you make up your own sounds from the multisample, you won't hear any horrible stretched samples.

Thanks Sharp - another great product for the PA1XPro. I can really use this - love the
left-hand-style SOUND for the LOWER part particularly with the ballads - big sound.
Great job mate - thanks
