Unusual Problem With Styles!
Hi everyone!
Last night i had a problem with tha pa1xpro, after playing for a couple of hours (everything ok), I selected a style (that i usually don't use) and then something happened and all the sound of the accompaniments except of the drum track has gone! whatever style i selected after that had the same thing,
the only track playing was the drums!!!
Checked the tracks if muted etc but all seemed normal!
I rebooted th kb and all was normal. But if i select the same style again, the same problem...
Any suggestions?
Regards Bill

Bill,
Exactly how did you "select" the new style? If you loaded it via a .set file then it's possible it contains Global and other settings that could be overwriting important parts of your keyboard. I suggest before you try it again that you go to the Disk menu, select the Preferences tab, and make sure the following check boxes are ticked:
Global Protect
Factory Style and Pad Protect
Factory Sound Protect
Then write global from the page menu (upper right).
Try the errant style again - I bet it doesn't screw everything up this time!
Best regards,
Rob

Hi Christian,florench wrote:Bill,
Last week had excatly the same problem. Using v3.01 I decided to play with the new std 8 beat from the bonus collection (loaded since long time in user1).
After two songs, only drums and right hand![]()

The styles from the old Bonus Collection are not directly compatible with OS3.xx. It is possible to convert them, but it's a lot of work!! However if you lock the settings as I suggested above, then the worst problems you mention will not happen.

Hi Christian,
Sorry about that. The BonusCollection on korgpa.com is compatible. It is the Bonus Set that was previously sold by Korg UK that has compatibility problems with v3.xx. I just tried about 30 of the styles from the BonusCollection on Korgpa.com including Standard 8 beat, and I could not recreate the problems you mentioned. I have them loaded as Direct HD styles. However I always have global settings protected and I don't intend to remove the lock even for testing purposes.
Does the problem you mention occur with Global locked?
Best regards,
Rob
