microkontrol and live 5 problems!!!

hey all, just decided to try live 5 out properly had it a while but always use reason with my microkontrol. I'm so fustrated as i cant seem to get microkontrol "locked" with live 5 as it does with reason. av followed the tutorial but don't seem to get any hands on control. any help please...

a want to use it to control the cross fader and track faders, see the possibilities of using it as a dj tool.
