Can incorrect RAM damage the TR?

Good evenig,
I found two 16MB RAM bars in an old computer we had at home, and was wondering whether I could use them as additional RAM for my TR.
Since it was an old PC that hasn't been in use for ages, the problem is I don't know whether they work or are are broken.
I also can't tell whether it's the correct type of RAM, I do only know that they are 16MB each, and 72 / 1 pins, like required.
Can I damage the TR by adding incorrect types of RAM, or broken ones?

I have never heard of anything being damaged by bad ram, just not working until the bad ram is taken out. However, I am no expert on the TR so get more feedback before trying this.

If the 16MB SIMM has 8 chips down one side, then chances are that it is the right type of RAM. If it does not, then don't even bother installing it. It's extremely likely it will not work.

Yes, it's got eight chips down on the backside.
I took a picture of it;
I guess it's the correct type, but I don't know if it's OK or broken.

I'm not sure if Windows is able to boot with only 16MB RAM...
But I will try...
Just don't like the idea of damaging a new synthesizer (which nearly cost me 2000€ btw) by inserting incorrect RAM, so I will wait to hear Sharp's opinion...

They do sell Ram testers or Memory testers aswell... not sure where to get them.

Finally, I made it...
Just spent half an hour lying under my TR, trying different RAM modules, but fortunately I found two working ones.
They will do the job until I get me some new ones, because the ones I use now, scratch a little bit...

The sounds loaded into the RAM don't exactly sound like what they are supposed to sound like.
For example, the Steinway piano from Dimedrol sounds a bit... can't explain it, maybe like a radio, the quality is not as clear as the normal voices...
(although it sounds still better than the original piano on the TR...
)
