LCD screen went crazy when playing with cold weather

Hello,
This Sunday we were practising with our band in our local. The temperature was low, i think 5-10º Celsius our lower.
Then the LCD screen of my brand new Korg TR 76 loose contrast. When i change from one program to another there's like the characters are overlapping themselves.
I raised the contrast to 28 or 29 and it solved the problem.
The sound was all right, all normal, but i was scared that the Keyboard was broken or something like that.
Do you think that low temperature can cause this or is a defect of the keyboard ? Should i claim Korg to replace it ?
As you may know, during the week i'm working outside my town and can't play my Korg until weekend, since then i will not see if it's allright or i have to raise another time the contrast.
During the week i play an old Yamaha to practise myself not to lose ability.
Thank you!
PS: We suffer cold of the winter in our local because the heater consumes too much electricity and if we raise the temperature it may blow the entire electricity system and then the light and all the things connected to electricity may be blown up (our preciate instruments and amplificators!).
