Hi
Just go a new SD card (and formatted it in the TR) and I tried to copy my PCG collection through a new card reader but it only copies the file headers (names) but ion the TR the synth informs that no data is there.
Can I copy my downloaded PCG to the TR using the card holder and also - ho w can I copy sampkes to the card ? (I am about to get RAM simms soon)
Regards

You can't save any sounds to you keyboard with out adding the 64mb memory sticks.
You must have memory installed first.

I am not trying to copy pcg with samples just the data that defines combis and programs like the free files in the downloads area on this website.
I have them on my PC and I am ttrying to copy them to my SD card by means of a card reader.
Problem is that it only copies the names of the files but not the file - thus creating empty files on my SD (which was formatted by the TR)

Have you Unzipped the files first?

Oh !!! come on !
I know some ppl ask stuff and this answer would solve their problem but If I know what a file header is I am sure to know well enough to unzip.
I copied the PCG files not the downloaded zip files to the Secure Digital card using a new , compatible, card reader
but when inserted to the TR it says no data is in the files which means it copied only the file name but the actual data - again I am not trying to copy patches with samples only the data that TR may read as is.

Hi nirsul!
Are you getting the message "There is no readable data" when trying to load the PCG file on the TR?
If so, the sounds you downloaded may be stored in Bank E in the program file. I know this is the case for most of the Triton sounds from this site.
As you know, the TR doesn't have a Bank E, so you need to make the TR load the programs to a different bank.
Highlight the PCG file you are trying to load, press Open. The display will now read "Programs". If you try to do Utility->Load now, you will get the "There is no readable data" message.
However, press Open again and you will now see for example "Bank E". If you select "Load selected" now, you will get to choose which bank to load the sounds to, and it should work.
Hope this helps.

Thanks
will let you know once i get to try it. I guess this will solve it.
Although - I now remeber that the files , once copied to the SD are very small as if containing no data.
