Sample RAM issue with Pa800

Hi,
After analyzing a few cases, we discovered that the problem of disappearing Sample RAM is due to a fault of the internal 64MB RAM memory module. This should be rare, but might happen, due to the nature of RAM manufacturing processes.
It took us some time to catch it out, since the problem showed up just in a few models. It is important to note that Pa2X is not affected by this issue, but only Pa800.
We added a FAQ to our web site, explaining how to check if you Pa800 does show this issue or not, and how to solve it:

Someone asked if the same RAM module is installed at the service center in case of replacement. I can answer that yes, it is the same model. There are no problems with the specs of this paricular module, but only manufacturing problems with some exemplars (as typical with any type of RAM). It is also to be noted that replacement parts have a warranty of their own.
If your Pa800 does not show any problem when loading samples, use it with confidence. The missing RAM problem is evident on defective exemplars; if it isn't, the instrument is OK.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Best regards,
Paolo
