Recording vocals externally.

Hello Rob:
I've read thru the many helpful hints in the Forum regarding the external recordings of vocals utilizing the Pa1x Helicon Voice Processor. On (16/4/07) Rob suggested one method ie: Leaving Keyboard tracks on L+R and sending the vocals to keyboard outputs 1+2 thereby maintaining the ability to pan and also attenuate or re-mix vocals at a later time on an external recording device.
At this point I am curious regarding, what I perceive to be, an ambient stereo affect possibly generated by the Helicon Vocal Processor. So my question ~ "Is there a stereo ambiance factor that would be defeated by channeling the vocals to just one mono output to an external recorder?"
Thanks as always ~ Charley Brown
