Does anyone know what options are available for stands that will handle the weight and dimensions of the O 88 for live performance?

I'd like to play standing up ( of course rotating would be awesome but I'm not finding ANYTHING readily available or even "TO ORDER" so far).

Any ideas?

Where should I look?

Who's actually available to build something?

@Sina: Quite expensive, I have to say. But an interesting solution. Is it really stable? With just one (motorized) middlefoot? Do you know if they export to Europe as well?

I tried the Ultimate V-Stand and it scared the crap out of me! Seemed very shaky and just a bit too unstable for an "energetic" and athletic performance!

How did you get it too work for you? (Are talking the full 88?)

It's very sturdy and less than $100.

I'd be interested in this stand too. I wonder if anyone in Australia sells them. I might send SolidStand an email and enquire. Those QuikLok stands are wobbly - i have never liked them. Also, I have never been able to get the exact height on quiklok or any other silly stand available

SolidStand should have a video of how this stand operates - wonder if i can get them to load a video of it in operation

If you're picky about height, I recommend the Spider Stand -- comes in 1 tier or 2 tier. Height is infinitely adjustable. I'm really happy with mine!

I got a spider as well - but not for the Oasys. Looks cool and is quite solid. You can insert 2 types of Vs - straight ones and one that is lowered toward you by 15 degrees. The only disadvantage: sometimes it's difficult to have the keyboards perfectly parallel. Still - a stand I can recommend! (Edit: you can see my spider in PMMs blog-interview - picture "Vintage Corner" with a D50 and an Ensonique TS10 on it)

The V-Stand has been great. No problems with my Oasys 88. When you put the Oasys on it, the weight of the Oasys pushes down on it and it is very stable.

Never come close to falling over. Unlike my old single bar Ultimate stands we have had for years!!!!

i really hate the look of those spider stands. They just look wrong and the bar goes way to high for my tastes. I want to look at girls when I am doing the gigs not at the keyboard stand.

@MrT-Man: Do you really have the Spider for a O 88? I have talked to them prior to ordering a stand and they told me, that, just from the specs, it would hold my O. BUT: they also said that the difference between the O's weight (32.1 kg) and the max that the Spider per arm (35 kg) could carry would be too close to ensure the Spider to be a rock solid stand, because one would have to add a certain amount of additional pressure while playing and that might exceed the max. I also like the looks but I was too scared about what might happen to my O if the little arms would break...

I absolutely don't like the looks but it is really stable!

The SolidStand is nice but I won't invest that much in a stand, just because it is motorized!!

Solid Stands! These are AMAZING! They go up and down via a Footswitch. In other words its MOTORIZED! And its super easy to assemble.

I'm not convinced they are worth their asking price. How often does someone really need to quickly adjust the height of their keyboard? Most people find a height they like, then that becomes the height they always use.

I also would be concerned about the second tier. At least from the pictures, it appears you are forced to have the top tier be perfectly horizontal -- i.e. you can't tilt the keyboard playing angle toward you.

I choose a "Z" stand. It's rock solid, can be either 1 or 2 tiers. Holds 250 # and it's moderately priced. Infinitely variable height from seated to standing.
