Damper pedal configuration

Assuming I already configured which programs I want my pedal to work with, I want to go from "Now" to "Desired":

Now:
I'm playing chord "A" while pressing my damper pedal. While I continue pressing the pedal, I play chord "B". Now, chord "A" and "B" sound at the same time, creating an ugly noise.

Desired:
I want to play chord "A" while pressing my damper pedal. While I continue pressing the pedal, I play chord "B". Now, the sound of chord "A" disappears and chord "B" sounds instead of it.

Am I making myself clear on this? :( And is this possible?

not possible
try to imagine this from a software designer's view - you play some notes and want them to last, then you play some other notes and want the first few to drop off - how is the software going to know how many last notes are supposed to be heard? note that when you play a chord, its notes are actually never played at the exact same time
this would be ok if every chord had the same number of notes but what if you want to play different chords? ;)
it suddenly becomes a complicated problem and not really a useful feature ;)
(sorry for this part, I'm a software designer myself, couldn't help it :P )

solution:
release the pedal for a short moment when playing "chord B"
if you do this right - "chord A" will stop the momment you play "chord B" and you'll press the damper again while still holding the keys so "chord B" will remain sustained

It's just a thought but, you could use sound decay to get the effect you want. If the program (sound) you play in chord ''A'' decays (like piano) then you can wait for the ''A'' to drop out of hearing range and then hit the ''B'' chord.

Technically, the ''A'' is still sustained, but because the sound decayed you can't hear it.
