I was wondering if there are differences between the Korg pa800 and the pa1xpro with the style and sounds. I'm don't care about loading sample sounds. I'm more interest in the way the styles sound and there instrument. One more question has anyone tried the new PA500 is going for a lot less.

8) Thank you

Ricardo

ps I play in church and thats were I'll be using the keyboard for.

very similar if not the same, especially if your playing live. the big difference between these two keyboards is that the pa800 is lighter, has sample space, usb port for transferring files and a slightly faster processor which affects the speed of the touch screen. it is more of a "touched up" version of the korg pa1x and pa1x pro. I wouldn't call it a major upgrade.

as far as the korg pa500, it acts very similar to how the pa50 was treated compared to the pa80 and pa1x. it is manufactured in china thus, weaker and cheaper plastic, keys, buttons, screen, in/out puts.

in my opinion i would get the pa800 over the pa1x, and about any keyboard over the korg pa500 and pa50. (including the older models such as the i30 and the pa80.)

hope that solved your question

take care

And i'd take that over ALL of the ones you mentioned, its the father of them,
they never grew to catch up with their father...long way to go... :D

Dont forget....
Its the hands that touch the keyboard that make alot of the differences
A $500.00 keyboard can sound just as good as a $3500.00 keyboard
if the player has the touch the chops and the know-how.
