Here we go again. I have the same problem with my Pa800 as I had in December. It froze up again with no reason. I had not turn it on for some time and last night as I turn the KB on, it did not load and this message came on again "Detected/removed USB device please wait". No function whatsoever.!!! I have no clues what to do know. Taking it to those idiot repair center is out of the question.

Salam Arash Jan:

Wow! That is very sad and not acceptable. This keyboards is a lemon. You must contact Korg and demand for a new one and do not accept their offer to fix it again. I think the repair shop failed to do their job. If I were you, I will ask for a new one or go for the Pa2X and pay the difference. That is only my opinion. Best of luck. Wish you all have a wonderful weekend.

Best Regards,

Fahim,

Fahim Jon: Thx buddy, you can imagine my frustration with this stupid KB. Imagine if I was a musician and my life was depend upon instrument like this. BTW, what is the difference between pa800 and the pa2X price wise? How this Pa2X is any better than Pa800?? I already see people complainng about this one too. I have already invested about $500.00 for both MP3 and the USELESS hard drive for my Pa800. I wish I had bought a pa80. For a hobbiest like myself, I think a Pa80 is much better for live performance where you could switch tens of sets through your flash card in a slpit second rather than waiting 5 minutes plus to load a set on F*%king Pa800. At least there are thousands of very good Persian sets available for Pa80.

I Really think guys that you are loading some styles from pa1x or pa80 and pa800 doesnt like some of the things from that style and makes it freez.

I Have my 2x pro from January and i loaded some good set that i bought and its No1 not even one problem, I leave the kb on for all day sometimes.

Dont know, maybe im wrong.

agree !

myself had never any problem with OS, i guess its the sampling function of pa800 or loading a style from a different model, which causes the freezing issues !!

musicians with freezing issues, i say reinstall the Musical Resources , basically delete everything YOU loaded into pa800, start from scratch, meaning make few beats of your own(without any samples) then see if your KB freezes! if everything goes smooth, then start sampling or loading samples into your pa800 and see if you get any error or freezing issues !

I dont know why this gets annoying and kiddish, over and over the same
CR#P. The synth has a problem, Paolo confirmed on the forum, many KORG
engineers confirmed to me on the phone and you guys are still putting us
down. As i said, a huge number of you doesnt even know how to turn the
synth on and you expect to see any problems? No, it doesnt work like that,
for the synth to show your true colors you GOTTA DO SOMETHING ON IT not
just turn it on and load someone elses set. I am sorry to put it this way but
its reality, you accepting it or not. Its time to stop GOING on other users that
complain and telling them this and that, its recources its CR#P and other things.
The synth has the problems, KORG is working on it and no RESOURCES or
CR#P will help you at all...you can still go against the wall with your heads.
Please stop with the CR#P with the same topic over and over, this has been
going on for months and almost every topic is the same thing.
If you got nothing smart to say leave the people with problems alone, someone
else who KNOWS what the problem is will help them.
They paid 2500$ for it or more and they expect the synth to work, not to
try other sets and reinstall MS every single day.
Enough CR#P and stop with the EGO.

Hi Nedim and others,

I reïnstalled the resources, loaded Sets without Global, without PCM...
and so on. I know Korg will help us solve the bugs in a OS Update....
I don´t know when.............

----------------------------------------------------------

So, Saturdaynight the gig on PA2Xpro..... three freezes: total disaster.

Yesterday (sunday)evening gig on PA1Xpro, great succes....
and I liked playing....again

The most important thing: when you use an instrument in front of an audience, you must be able to rely on it. People must pay for the musician, so they don´t want to have a stuttering amateur in the house.

Saterday evening I was scared to push a fill button when playing.

I cannot play with a keyboard that could crash any moment, or plays fine for two week....
(besides that I miss some multisamples and some functionality of the vocal harmony)

SO: back to the PA1xpro.

Nedim, I fully agree with you.
I think I use about 70% of the functionality (hardly do anything with sampling), but in all ways: a keyboard simply MUST NOT FREEZE!

Putting things in prospective, one rightfully expect a sophisticated piece of machinery to perform to the expected level. I am overly pissed off over the fact that I use only 10% of this keyboard intended potentials at the most, and yet have that much problems. This translates into a simple function as turning the instrument on, load a set on occasions (yes I know, no global, no songbook), play for an hour and simply turning it off. Now, I am wondering what kind of problems would I had faced if I like some of the real knowledgeable individuals on this forum had simply tried to test some of the functions other than Trun on/off and/or pushed this KB to its limit of advertised capabilities. Here in the Korg USA, there are some rude nitwits that give you a run around instead of listening and solving your problems. They have introduced several repair centers for your location to find out only a couple of them do preferential repairs for their own customers and yet their technicians have no experience nor familiarity with the instrument or its functions. So, at the end, my enthusiasm turned into a big disappointment.
I am hoping more of educated (regarding this instrument) unhappy individuals come forward and share their experiences. I am further hopeful that paolo make a note of this and would come up with some resolutions for this annoying problem.

Long back I had read somewhere...

'For the World you are someone...but for someone you are the World'

it applies here perfectly... from the perspective of KORG... we are some... one... musician...in the world... somewhere... but from the musicians prespective... KORG is the world...

I can feel your pain Arash as I have walked through the same creepy path few weeks back. You have been struggling with your keyboard since long but nothing works out in the end... make a request to Mr. Paolo... I think the kind gentleman will make the World back for you....

Best wishes Arash...

Listen guys, take it easy, NEDIM heave a point in many of the things he describes.
1
- The worst thing that heapened korg, is that they decided the same name PA....
Than we automaticliy think is a PA1X, whit better stuf, NOOOO STOP!
This KB is not a PA1 serie.
This is a NEW KB, only couse of the STYLE files can be loaded, dont mean that the PA2X can load al stuf from PA1 series.

And KORG, Respective, PAOLO , and the enginiers screams about to not load Any OS from PA1 to PA2X or 800, some of my friends loaded os from 800 to pa2X, And the KB died,
After i go home to that peaople, and eresed the SSD, and reinstalled the specifik OS, it works again.
So i think NEDIM is on the wrigth way, he is telling us something, maybee in a BIZZAR way , but there is a point!
Dont screw up the head of the ENGINIERS, al the stuf we are making don mean that al the problems comes from KORG!

Dont load crap from the NET, that is not safe for the KB.
Think first handle after.
And first of al, THINK and THINK again.
KORG IS ON THE WAY WHIT THE NEW OS!
Be sure!

I have no other way of telling left except the Bizzare way. People in here are
hard headed with big Ego, they think if in some coutry they are big singing
stars they know it all, NO! DEAD WRONG! There is people in here that we
dedicate our lives to this i dont care how big you are in your country or in
whatever. Its all Egoist, it cant be your word last, it has to be the RIGHT word
last, i know all of you are full of Ego and Energy and everybody wants to post
something but at the end that Something becomes stupid and senselless.
Arash had enough of THAT junk but i think i had enough of THIS junk.

Hi Everybody,

The new operating systems for Pa2X and Pa800 are on the way. I cannot tell you a date, but everything is in the final testing phase.

Best regards,
Paolo
