Electribe MX possibilities

Post by SupahFlyRetard »

Hello electribers, first post today!

I'm getting a EMX next week (sold one of my turntables r.i.p) and I have a question I was hoping to get answered by some kind soul.

I have a Kaoss Pad 3 and I am wondering what my options are in terms of hooking it up. I know I can sync them via midi, however Im curious if the electribe has outputs which would allow me to apply kp3 effetcs only on say a synth sound?

E.g. I have a bassline and a drum part on my electribe, is it possible to route only the bassline through the kp3? Im thinking worst case I could have the bassline on the left channel and only route this through the kp3 (not really an ideal option I guess)?

Cheers

EDIT: Is it possible to route KP3 samples e.g. a drumloop through the electribe? Im thinking it could add some depth to drums if you could run both KP3 loops and electribe drums together.

yes you can

the MX has 4 outs, the main stereo one that routes the outputs of everything by default and takes the 3 FX processors outputs tooo, and you got 2 aux outs (3 & 4) that could be choosen to route any channel (synths or drums)...

you can use that to send any part to the KP and process it...the aux outs doesn´t pass thru the FX or the tubes

also you can route the KP back to the MX and mix them together in 2 different ways that I explained extensively here
