turning backlight off

Post by KrzysiekK »

Hello. I sometimes enjoy improvisation in darkness, but the backlight of TEX emites a lots of light :) Is there any way to turn the backlight off for a while? Btw. I wonder sometimes about the lifetime of the TEX touchscreen, any information on this?

Thanks,
Krzysiek

No, but if it's bothering you, why not cut up a breakfast serial box or something and use the cardboard to cover the screen. Sounds silly but it would work.

The worst screens you can buy have a 2 million touch life, with the best being 50 million.
Even if the Triton used the worst which I highly doubt it, do you really think you will touch the screen 2 million times :-)

Sharp.

ya, it is really bright - i wonder if it would work to put a piece of colored cellophane over it to dim the light a little, if it would still respond to your touching the screen. Has anyone ever tried?

that seems like a cheezy thing to do on an Extreme

How about wearing a $100 paid of sunglasses ?

The chicks will like that

I overlaid mine with acetate for scratch protection but not for glare. with it do the trick Sharp? I used a piece of cling wrap before, but it sticks to my finger so I use acetate instead.

thanks,
