Some tips on discovering advanced capabilities of Pa800/ Pa2x/ Pa1x etc ....
- a) Download all the documentation from www.korgpa.com and store it in a single folder on your PC. The documentation is in Adobe "Acrobat" format, and you must download Adobe Reader v8 free of charge from www.adobe.com. Also whenever you download a new OS release, extract all the documentation from the .zip file and store it in the same folder as the other Korg documentation on your PC.
b) Open any of the Korg documents (doesn't matter which one) by double clicking it. Adobe Reader v8 will load the document.
c) Press SHIFT+CTRL+F, the Adobe advanced search options page will pop up.
d) Select the radio button entitled "All PDF Documents in", click the down arrow symbol to the right of the "My Documents" icon, select the option entitled "Browse for Location... ", and then navigate to the folder where you stored all your Korg documentation. On my PC the Korg documentation is stored in the folder: My Documents -> Korg -> User Manuals
e) Now type a word or phrase that you want to find more information about. For example I recently wanted to help Steve to find out how to lock the slider mode button from being changed when you select different songbook entries. I searched for the words "slider mode".
f) Now, after a minute or so, Adobe Reader will generate a list for you of all documents containing the phrase you are looking for. If you click on the "+" symbol to the left of the document you will then see a list of contextual references within the document where the phrase appears. You can quickly read these summaries to decide which are of interest, then click the entry and Adobe Reader will load the document and display the relevant section.
g) You carry on scanning the various entries, clicking on the interesting ones, letting Adobe Reader do all the hard work for you.
