Somebody mentioned that there is a program to convert r3 programs to radias. I checked the download section and don't see it. I looked under the r3 and radias sections. I see sounds only. Where is the actual sofrtware posted? All I see in any of the korg download sections are sounds for different synths and no software at all. Can somebody help?

The R3 to Radias converter is a piece of software I wrote so I could post the R3 factory sounds for Radias users. I never posted the software itself. At the moment it's just a tool for my use; it's a Unix type app that runs on Mac OS X so most people would not find it user friendly

Ah, OK. Somebody mentioned that there is a converter program i the files section to convert r3 patches to radias library patches. There are some patches submitted by a user, notably the lead sound with feedback or something that I wanted to try but it was only for the r3. I figured that the radias editor can't load in the r3 sounds, and somebody suggested I try the radias converter, but it isn't there. Well, now I know the rest of the story, I guess.

The only converter I have offered publicly is that MS2000/microKorg to Radias :

I am still working with R3 to Radias (and vice versa) conversion, when I get odd moments of spare time. If we manage to build up a whole bunch of R3 sounds, then maybe I could convert those to Radias format and post the results at some point.

if they have the same engine, why the difference in coding?

The Radias/R3 engines are closely related, but not identical ... as I learned when I wrote the converter

interesting... i would have assumed the differences would be in addressing the front panel. did it go any deeper than that? if so i wonder what the decision on that was.
