radias rack + M3 or M3 + Radias card??

All,

I am a Radias owner (rack + keyboard) but interested in the M3 as a workstation.

my question is ... how well does the rack integrate into a basic M3

I also own a Virus TI Polar so I have a synth for "tweaks" but the radias is a complicated beast so perhaps I would be best to buy an M3 and the extra radias card.

I would guess (?) that the int radias card intergrates better with the workstation etc ...? What control over the radias rack do you actually have?

The lack of a VST on the radias r I am not really happy with .... so I guess the intergration with Sonar would be better using the M3 and int radias card?

Some advice from existing users would be great!

thanks!

Simon

Well, the only integration is that both uses the same keyboard. Using only volume control to control wich one would be sounding. If you want one to controll the other you need midi cables.

i had a Radias -R ... traded it in on my M3 ...

i also have the Acces Ti ...

just got my free Exb-Rad Card today ... installed and loaded/updated etc ..

there was also a new release with more Rad combis ...

i do not use any VST .... i would prefer a standalone editor for the Ti , but it doesn't work that way ...!

the Exb-Rad card integrates into the M3 using all it's availabe control surfaces and Karma ... also uses the m3's internal fx ... which are much better the on the Radias ... i haven't started trying to program it yet , but it might be a bit different from using the knobs on the Radias ....

if you think you'll really use and can get the hang of the karma features , the card would be the way to go ... if you want a few less cables , the card is the way to go , if you'll miss all the flashing lights on the Radias , well we can turn up the leds on our Ti ..!!!

it does sound very similar ... so far ...
