Audition sounds

The audition button on the TR88 for PROGRAM sounds provides great examples.
My question is whether these sounds can be reproduced with the TR88 alone or are they enhanced OUTSIDE the TR and then loaded in as demo samples.
I sure would like to see the "guts" behind the sounds.
Thanks for any input.

No "outside" voices are used, as far as I know.

Is there any way to "capture" these sequences and "dissect" them so I can see what effects and adjustments have been added?
Thr Program sounds are no way as full-bodied as the Auditions.

there are no adjustments to programs in audition sequences
in fact you can apply those sequences to any programs
these are just sequences of notes, it might be the right expression that makes the difference
I guess you can try recording midi while in audition mode.

I've once recorded the MIDI from the audition in Cubase.
Worked perfectly, without any problems... try recording in any software sequencer!

Listen to Audition of Nylon Guitar 2 A:012. There definitely are effects applied to achieve these sounds (like string bending). It is not just the A:012 program played straight ''out of the box''.
Also, Audition plays at a higher volume. I estimate, I need to turn up the volume about 20% to match the Audition volume.

Sorta like waxing a car when you're trying to sell it.

Ha Ha! I'm sure they call it creative enhancement or some other corporate speak.
zack, did you try it? What did you find?

I fiddled around with it but had no luck.
I got side-tracked and never got back to it.

I know how it goes... Well, if you (or someone) happen to get into it, I'd like to here about it.

its all about velocity, and the number of notes. remember that the midi for the guitar audition probably involves playing the keyboard like a guitar (or maybe they altered it in the sequencer just a bit), which involves playing up to six notes (allthough they could have used more to beef it up even more), typically not in a root or simple inversion layout. also remember that the performances can have modulation and pitch bend data (like that used for the watcher strings (which is a great patch, and a great song. by the way), turns up the cc#2 (joystick axis - ) in order to increase the noise effect.
a lot of the auditions seem to use high velocity levels and large, complex, or spread chords.
