I've just noticed I've been turning other people's threads into my own questions because I don't understand a lot about keyboards. Sorry for taking attention away from your questions if this applies to you.

No worries.

Why not ask your questions under this thread.

Good idea! I'll copy and paste from the other threads.

Is the TR capable of me playing bass or guitar parts over songs I would have made on it? If so, what else would I have to buy?

Are other other boards from different brands of the same price comparable? I was looking into the Yamaha MO, but it was missing a couple things I liked about the TR.

These are questions I'm asking to help determine if the TR is still the board I want.

Thanks!

You would need the sampling option installed to do this.
It's called “In Track Sampling”.

There are limits to what you can do though. A single recording can be no bigger than 16MB in mono, or 32MB Stereo.

Sorry, this is not really my area. I don't personally know the differences between the MO and the TR because Yamaha workstations don't really have much interest to me.

Cool, thanks.

I think if I buy the TR, I'll eventually buy the sampling option.
