Sometimes Logic can be a bit finnicky with new plugins, even if you reset the caches - try and run them in a different host first and make sure they are authorised.

I've just done this recently, for instance, I re-installed Stylus RMX, and it didn't show in Logic. I used Ableton Live (the demo will also work for this) where RMX *did* show up, in order to run it and authorise it.

Once it was authorised, it would then show up in Logic.

You could use other hosts such as Apple's AU Lab. You could also try Garageband, but it will probably behave the same as Logic given it's derived from the same core code.

And if it doesn't appear? I just launched Ableton Live, like said, but what do I do to get Korg into this program, 'cause it doesn't show on it's own.

Thanks

Make sure you've got the a Universal Binary version if you're on an Intel-Mac...Which Legacy Collection do you have?

hello there

Thanks for replying. I have just downloaded 1.1.10. It's the only newer version I can see on the download page. Don't know if it's binary. AND, the synths work as standalones, but no sign of them in Logic.

1.1.10 is an old version, and is not a Universal Binary, therefore it does not contain code for an Intel Mac.

if you have an Intel Mac, which you don't mention, you will need to upgrade to the current version, which is a UB. It's not a free update.

Ahh, that explains it. It is an Intel, yes. Funny that it actually works as standalones though. Thanks!

As standalone, it's running emulated under Rosetta, because Rosetta will translate PPC code while it's running - performance will be bad though.

But plugins can't do this - if the host is running under Intel, plugins must also be Intel code for technical reasons - so PPC plugins won't show up.

If you run the host emulated under Rosetta, it *will* see PPC plugs, but then your overall performance will be dreadful.

The correct solution is to make sure you have UB versions of all your plugins.

Live7 && Intel Mac VST Problem

I had the same situation on Intel Mac Live7, as KLC VST plug-ins couldn't show up though standalone is running, but your comment saved me Ben! Thanks a lot ;)
