First,
thanks to Korg for the new update 1.6. I use the Zero8 with ableton Live7 and now "everything" works fine.
The potential of the mixer is amazing. But there are some details that could be better integrated.
1. The controller bank buttons A,B,C and D send no CC.
2. The A and B buttons had no dependence. I can't use them for the A/B buttons in Live.
3. The channel fx should be work simultaneously for every channel. Easily operated with on/off buttons per channel on the touch screen.
Did someone else have ideas for new functions for the next updates?
cheers,
Mr. Bit

Another good thing...
If I use a channel as Audio+MIDI to Firewire, I lose the MIDI functions on the Solo/Cut stick. But I need this function when I use Live with send-FXs.
I can only mute (cut) the output channel on the Zero8 the sound from the Live-send Fxs would be listen.
The only way is to put the send-fx on the same channel, but then the cut is very hard.
4. I want MIDI functions for the Solo/cut stick in Audio+MIDI mode.

I think if they could add one thing to make this mixer perfect for me, it would be more buttons.
I would like to have a column of buttons next to each EQ on each channel. These could be used for clip launch or other stuff in Ableton Live.
Have a look at Sasha's Maven controller sometime and you'll see he has these buttons included.

I tought about my few fixes that would be great:
_ add a connection to master and pfl/cue in input and output, so we could
get 8 tracks from the pc to the korg, re-send the mix to the computer and add master FX to it (ie-limiting-mastering) then drive this to the korg master output.
_ a great thing would be a midi design software that would allow us to for example make a 16 buttons we could label on the touchscreen, or ie make
4 horizontal/vertical sliderz ect...(cf lemur)
_ agree with the "all channel" fx.
_agree for the cue in audio/midi mode, that would be cool to choose in midi or audio, and generally for this mode, could be cool to choose eq/send fx as cc as well (I don't use eq, I find they're cheap)
_ a way to bypass EQs.

I forgot to mention that the Master and Headphone busses should be addressable by the soundcard.
That way you could use all 8 channels in MIDI mode with Ableton, yet still have separate Master Out and Headphone Cue.

WOW! So much ideas and no one wants more LEDs.
I think we make the job easy for the product manager.

BEN: Does this mean the controller bank knobs are not midi-assignable? I would like to use them to control the switches/rotaries in Traktor / Ableton.

Yes!
I want to use this knobs to switch between my Ableton Live macros, but the knobs are only switch the 8 controller and the display of the Zero8. No MIDI out!

I need help - and you all seem like you know what is going on. I am the new owner of a Zero8 and having a hell of a time getting everything together to work with Live.
I would love some help setting up the channels - to know what others do for a cue channel if you operate in the box in "midi" and if you are operating in "midi-audio" is there something I am missing? When I operate in that mode you can't use the faders for midi - right, or am I have issues?
I am trying to use the editor - and it's giving me trouble. Ironically enough I recently set up mappings for the nanopad with Traktor Pro with the editor for that device and it was super straightforward to do, no problems. However, I am having major issues trying to get my basic functions together for the Zero8 and Ableton.
I appreciate any help I can get here, thanks!
