Hi

I can not export samples with styles!
Load the second .SET, you must right down the Style (s) you want with its variations, fill-in's, Intro1 - 2, etc ... with the right DK. You can do it if you press "RECORD" when in Style Mode. Don't worry about samples.

Load the first .SET, then go to Media, locate and highlight the second .SET, then press: "OPEN", locate and highlight the "Sound" and press "OPEN", go to "USER DK" highlight it and press "Open", locate and highlight the Drumkit you want and press "LOAD". Repeat for other related DK.
Pa800 will load the drumkit with the related samples! :D

Then, go back to "STYLES" in the same directory, choose and load the styles you want.

When finish, go to Style Mode, you must reassign the right DK for each variation, fill-in ...etc. Then wright the style. You don't need to do this step if your user DK was empty when you stared, Pa 800 will load the DK to the same original location.

Bon Chance!

Hi Tech1 and DIARKORG,

What you need to do is explained in detail on Page 248 onwards of the Pa2x manual.
  • You must have the device SSD-S selected first.
    You select the "All" folder
    Click "New Set"
Select the destination device eg USB-F or HD
Then check ONLY the following items from the data type screen:
  • User Style OR Favorite Style depending where the Style is stored
    User Sound & DK
    PCM
Make sure no other options are checked. Then click OK

Let's assume you name the .SET file as "MYNEWSTUFF.SET"

Now, what you will have done is to save all the User Styles, User Sounds, User Drumkits and User PCM Samples.

Let's suppose you want to send someone only one User Style called "MYSTYLE" with one User Sound called "MYSOUND" which uses a User multisample called "MYMULTI" which uses a User PCM sample called "MYSAMPLE".

See page 253 of the Pa2x manual.

Using Media-?>Erase, you have to:
  • Open the SOUND folder in MYNEWSTUFF.SET
Select all the banks apart from the one containing MYSOUND, say it is inside USER01.PCG
    Press Erase
    Open USER01.PCG
Select all the sounds apart from MYSOUND
    Press Erase
Then do a similar thing with the style folder, leaving only USER01.STY, containing only MYSTYLE
Then edit the contents of the PCM folder, until only MYMULTI and MYSAMPLE are left.

That's it!
BTY, There is another way to do the same thing, by selectively adding stuff to a blank .SET folder, but it's more complicated to explain.

Hi Rob!
Thank you for the Precious infos. Please, help me if you have any idea for Erasing the favorites styles, I want to have them all "Empty".
Thank You.

Hi tech1
In addition, if you want to export samples, you must have an USB or HD, then , you can do the following:

To export one sample as Wave file:
When in Sound Mode, press "RECORD", Your are now in the Sampling Mode. Press <Empty> in the top left to open your Samples list. Locate and press the desired sample and wou'll enter the Edit sample mode. Press the arrow in the top right and select "Export". Choose the media, press "SAVE", the default format is "Wave", press "OK" and it is done!

To export one Multisample:
When in Sound Mode, press "RECORD", press the MENU button, press the Mutisample to enter the multisample edit.
Press: <Empty> in the top left to open your maltisamples list. Scroll and choose the desired MS.
Press the arrow in the top right and choose Export. Choose the media and press "SAVE". The desired MS will be saved in .KMP format that you can use with any KORG Triton or Pa.

Bon Chance!

Dear DIARKORG
When you load a style, only this style will go into your system. No samples or multisamples are loaded with it! They are loded only with Drumkit loding.
You'll got your style playing as well if you carefuly perform the above steps! especially: (( reassign the right DK for each variation, fill-in ...etc.)).

Dear tech1
I assume that you have successfully exporting your multisamples and your new probleme is to use them again.
If so, you must know how to convert this multisample to a program (sound). You have two choices: sound and drumkit.

First, you must know the numbre of the Multisample that you want to use. When in SOUND mode, go to Sampling mode by pressing: "RECORD". Press "MENU" and chosse: "Multisample", press: <Empty>, scroll to the desired multisample and remark its numbre.

For a sound, press "SOUND", find an empty sound in your User 1 or User 2, press it and press "EXIT", a New Programe is created. Press "MENU" and select: "Basic" then press the "OSC Basic" Tab.
Press the arrow in top left and choose: "RAM" insted of "ROM".
Press twice the (0) locatd under the RAM box, Type the number of your desired multisample, press "OK", you must see its name shown.
Scrabble on your keyboard, you must hear your multisample lament :P .
Write the new sound, then edit its parameters as you like, write it again.

For a Drumkit, it is more complicated. You must find an empty DK in your User DK. You can't use the multisample here! You must assign each sample to a key on your keyboard.

Bon chance!

Hi daghum,

If you load a .SET file containing tghe appropriate Style, Sound and PCM folders like I said in previous thread, then everything will be loaded including samples.
