hello everyone! quick question for you, my band which is an alternative rock band are wondering if there would any problem singing any other professional musicians song in a live show or demo cd? thanks

Ehm, if you do so without a permission it might be a problem I think.

Yes, especially using someone else's songs on a demo CD.....that's a real no-no.

i've been wondering this too.
so technically i can't record a cover of another artist's song and put it on a free CD?
what about covering in a live situation?
