Strange happenings!

I think I must be missing something....yet again.

I have a style set up with my own STS (Folk Ballad, with a Brazilian Guitar, i3Strings and oboe in 123 order).
I thought about dabbling with the strings and changed to some Harpsi sounds, including Hapsi Key Off.
I had the strings quite low so it was no real surprise when the harpsi didn't cut through the mix. However lifting the volume had no major effect and the sound still seemed muffled.
As you do, (a show not that long away), "the keyboard is on the blink"...panic. I then changed from style to sound and suddenly a rich Harpsi could can be heard again.

Have I got a dodgy oscillator somewhere or is there a setting that has kicked in...or...or?

I am quite prepared to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous comment!

It may be an effects 'thing'?
The fx settings for the 'main' sound of your sts may be completely unsuitable for any 'secondary' sounds?

Tommy
Thanks for the reply.

I tried putting a Harpsi as Sound 1 but a similar effect was evident as on 2.
I then realised that the style was in the first banks of the Direct HD, which is where I dropped the Bonus Collection styles that were posted on korgpa.
I am guessing now that although these were optimised for the PA1, this is an effect which is to do with the overall incompatibility of the two keyboards.
Starting to breathe more easily that my board will not have to go on a little trip to the "garage"!
Thanks again for the suggestion!

Best wishes
Chris

PS
The 6/8 Reel is now fully set up and sounds great with a single bassoon in the left hand! :D
