D1600 Drive problem.

Post by Soundman Chris »

My D1600 has the 20gig drive fitted. It has started misbehaving, and stops the machine from starting up. Please can anyone help me with advice on new drives. Also would like to upgrade the software, but the dam thing doesn't like me and is waiting to get its own back on me. HELP!!! :(

d1600 mk2 hard drive problem

Post by sandpiper »

I had similar problem caused, it seems, by over-heating of hard drive.

The symptoms were clicking for about 30 seconds, and then 'do you wish to initialise'.

After months of this randomly happening i simply bought another hard drive. No more problems.

cheers
