I don't see a Daz post here for May. Did I miss something? Daz?? Are you out there? Put something up Dude and let us have at it. Or just skip May and call it your June song. I'm worried that you're still not up to par?

I just noticed that....however one thing I missed is that apparently he upped something different or "improved" for April. The song that is up there for his April cut is nothing of what I remembered. Maybe it is his May mislabeled?

Or actually he probably just finished the song a bit more and never told us.

I haven't seen a Daz post in HERE in awhile either.

All kidding aside, Daz gets more done than any six guys I know.

He is probably up to his eyeballs in work. His non-response, constant doing for others and his very successful history reminds us that he is the master of prioritizing. He will be back when he can.

Well, Daz, they're really your deadlines, but if it was me, I would cut my losses and just try to post something for June and say, well, May was what it was. Unless you have something simple to post just to fill up the checklist. But hey, playing catch up for the rest of the year doesn't sound like fun to me.

Indeed ...

Here is an unplugged version of the song I was writing in May. It's a single take of acoustic guitar and a single vocal take I did tonight (with drum sample loop wav), warts and all. Didn't get the time to record it as I would have liked (busy, but I'll resist detailing the life details again, this is not the venue for that; the song says it all). Just a sketch, if you like.

"In this world that's moving so fast, we could be taking our time...", comes from a conversation with my g/f about taking my money from acquisition, and going to live a much simpler/pastoral life with her. I wouldn't miss the spambots, the fecking alarm clock, providing free support ... blah ... I am very tempted to go missing ;-) Not without taking my Ovation with me though.

This has such cool lyrics in it, I'm just relating like you wouldn't believe. I've been going thru the same thing lately in a different way. But just to walk away and take what means the most. Love it.

Yes this is a good piece. Simple in it's beauty as presented. No doubt most everyone can relate to the lyrics. It is clear from the sparseness of posts here that we are all feeling the rush as of late.

Good to hear another song (and vocal track) from you Daz! Looking very much forward to your next piece!

I getting some of a Paul Weller vibe with this one, including the lyrics, nice.

A friend of mine has a static caravan down (the) Gower, and they escape there when ever possible.

I really like the raw and unplugged way this has been recorded too.

The British sound has been mentioned before, and now I hear it in here in some of the chord progressions.

You make the guitar playing sound so easy too :)

Excellent Daz. You never cease to amaze me. I like this unplugged you.

There is nothing worse than unsolicited advice from an unsucessful old timer.....but going to a simpler life with concentrated time with a special lady... That is real living. Your success has given you an opportunity to do that which most people will never be able. If you can live with the losses of everything else.. Why not take that and not look back?

I can't imagine what these forums will do without you, but if I was you....I would already be gone. Good Luck and thanks for the song.
