Hi all, I've just upgraded the O.S to 3.01 and I'm wondering if there might be a fault with the Musical resources zip file on KorgPA website because I cannot get it to load completely, it always stalls after the second floppy disc and very strange keyboard behaviour is the result.

Has anyone managed to load it fully from floppies please?

I have after all managed to load the Musical Resources myself with floppies.

The two steps I took which caused my problems were:
1. Misreading the instructions on the KorgPa PA1x software download page.
It says: Note: With OS version 3.01, Musical Resources v.3.00 must be installed. Versions prior to this one are anyway compatible.

I took this to mean that the resources should be loaded before the OS. This is wrong the new OS must be in place first.

2. After trying to load the resources and failing on the earlier OS I did load OS 3.01 but could not then load the resources. The floppy disc installation kept stalling at the second or third disc.
I read on the forum here that by using button 'INTRO 1' when installing the O.S. that old data will be removed. I got this wrong too.

This button needs to be pressed when the screen asks to CANCEL or OK at the first screen of the installation. I made the mistake of holding the button down from the time of insertion of the disk until it said cance or OK and then I touched OK. This is wrong.

Here endeth my upgrade saga but my new (used) PA1x still has many faults with buttons and keys not functioning correctly and a broken jack socket so I shall get back to the seller.
